A LTD or a LLC company can be incorporated in the free zone by one or more individuals or corporate entities. LLPs, LPs and GPs can be incorporated by two or more individuals as long as (for LLPs) the individual is the LLP’s designated member.

  • When a LTD, LLP, LLC or LP company is incorporated, a Certificate of Incorporation is issued.
  • When a branch of an existing company is incorporated, a Certificate of Registration is issued.
  • Upon the transfer of an established company to DIFC, a Certificate of Continuation is issued.

Commercial Licenses

Once the Certificate of Incorporation, registration or continuation is issued, the Registrar of Companies immediately issues the commercial license. DIFC’s commercial licenses are renewed yearly following payment of the yearly renewal fee.
